Magnetic folding travel chess set is beautifully hand crafted and boasts a high grade magnet. You can turn the board upside down and the pieces stay put. Our magnetic sets are made of Golden Rosewood and Maple (not Boxwood which is a cheaper alternative). For 7" board, the square size is a bigger .75". The recessed compartment can be used for storing your chess pieces, when not in use. We will never compromise on quality.

Why is your 7" Magnetic Chess set costs more than some of the other shops, like some are selling for 29.95$?

Because we use Laquer finish which is more durable and finer finish than the traditional buff finish. We also use high grade magnets.

What is Laquer finish?

Lacquer is a clear or coloured wood finish that is dried by solvent evaporation or a curing process that produces a hard, durable finish.
